This story was first published in book form in 1914 in Stoker's third collection of short stories Dracula's Guest And Other Weird Stories, George Routledge & Sons, Ltd., London. In 1973 it appeared in The Bram Stoker Bedside Companion, Victor Gollancz Ltd, London, and in 1997 it appeared in Best Ghost and Horror Stories, Dover Publications, Inc., New York.

Periodical publication


"The Judge's House" was also published in the US in a monthly magazine. It appeared in the March 1935 issue of Weird Tales, Chicago.
