In 1973 it appeared in The Bram Stoker Bedside Companion, Victor Gollancz Ltd, London, and in 1997 it appeared in Best Ghost and Horror Stories, Dover Publications, Inc., New York. Periodical publication "The Judge's House" was also published in two monthly magazines. It appeared in the March 1935 issue of Weird Tales, Chicago, and in the May 1950 issue of The Argosy, London.
